Indian-origin truck driver arrested for smuggling 700 pounds of meth from US to Canada, could face deportation

The Canada Border Services Agency announced the arrest of Satnam Singh, an Indian-origin truck driver, after he was found smuggling 700 pounds of methamphetamine hidden inside his truck. The incident took place in November but the border administration announced the charges against Singh Tuesday. This is believed to be the largest narcotics seizure at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon port of entry.

Satnam Singh was driving a commercial vehicle which was returning to Canada from the US. The CBSA detector dog team found the suspected item while officers detected 12 boxes containing the huge amount of narcotics within the truck and trailer.
