Indian office boy, 3 other expats from Kerala, Mumbai and Bengaluru win 200g gold bars worth Rs 23 lakh each in Abu Dhabi lottery

An Indian office boy who has lived in Bahrain for 23 years is among four Indian expatriates who have each won a 200-gram, 24-carat gold bar in Abu Dhabi’s Big Ticket October weekly e-draw. The winners, announced on Monday, October 26, are Aruna Krishnappa Kidiyoor, Jijoy Viswan, Sadathulla Sharief and Mumbai-born freelancer Manisha Harshal Kasat, according to a report by Gulf News. Each gold bar is valued at approximately AED 96,500, or around Rs 23 lakh, at the reported market rate.

The winners have different backgrounds and approaches to the draw. Aruna, 45, began participating regularly with friends about four months ago, while Manisha, 30, won after entering independently. Jijoy, 51, has been purchasing tickets with a group for years, and Sadathulla Sharief, also 51, discovered Big Ticket at an airport before continuing to participate online and in person.
