An Indian climber who fell into a 300-metre deep crevasse on the same Himalayan mountain on which Irish climber Noel Hanna died has been rescued.
Several rescue attempts were made after Anurag Maloo fell on Annapurna, the world's 10th highest mountain.
When he was finally rescued, he was flown to a hospital in the resort town of Pokhara, Thaneswar Guragai of Kathmandu-based Seven Summit Treks said.
He was being treated at the hospital, but his condition was still unknown.

The incident happened on the same day Noel Hanna died and another Indian climber, Baljeet Kaur, became ill but miraculously survived even after spending the night in harsh conditions and without the aid of supplement bottled oxygen.
The spring mountaineering season has just begun in Nepal and hundreds of foreigners and local guides have begun climbing the world's highest peaks.
On Mount Everest, three Sherpa guides have been missing since last week, when they fell into a crevasse on a treacherous section just above base camp on the world's highest mountain.
The crevasse is estimated to be about 50 metres deep.
Lynne Hanna, wife of renowned Irish climber Noel, told this week how he could not have died in a more fitting place than in the Himalayas.
Mrs Hanna, who is also from Dromara, said she had now arrived in Kathmandu to bring his remains home.
She explained: “I have arrived in Kathmandu to bring Noel home. He passed away at Camp 4 on Annapurna after a successful summit.
“He returned to the tent, took some hot soup and fell asleep, never to awaken again, no drama, no big story. It was his time to go and he died in the Himalayas, what better place for my Mountain Man. Sleep well Noel.”
