India has warned Pakistan to expect potential flooding after it opened the gates of major dams on rivers in its part of Kashmir after severe flooding across the region.

At least 33 people have died in flash floods in India-administered Jammu and Kashmir due to unusually heavy monsoon rain. Around 30 Hindu pilgrims were killed on their way to the Vaishno Devi shrine, and another three people drowned in separate floods in Doda district.
