NEW DELHI: A pivotal 113-run partnership for the second wicket between centurion Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara took India to safety but the hosts didn't fully press home the advantage, ending Day 3 at 289/3 against Australia in the fourth Test in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Gill batted for nearly six hours to score 128 off 235 balls, hitting 12 boundaries apart from a six off Nathan Lyon, but India scored only 256 runs in 90 overs.
