
India has administered 204.6 crore vaccine doses so far under a nationwide vaccination drive.
States which are reporting maximum surge of active covid cases include Andhra Pradesh (2,119), Assam (5,296), Bihar (3,481), Chhattisgarh (3,481), Delhi (4,274), Gujarat (6,413), Haryana (3,317), Himachal Pradesh (5,572), Jammu & Kashmir (4,551), Jharkhand (10,859), Karnataka (13,886), Kerala (13,886), Maharashtra (12,808) , Odisha (6,929), Punjab (9,348), Tamil Nadu (12,228), Telangana (5,733), Uttar Pradesh (3,206), Uttarakhand (2,307) and West Bengal (13,493).
The central government reviewed the covid-19 situation in 115 districts of nine states showing an upsurge in cases and positivity and flagged concerns regarding low levels of testing and vaccination. Furthermore, states were directed to report and monitor district-wise SARI and ILI cases on a daily basis and accelerate administration of ongoing free Covid-19 vaccination for 1st, 2nd and precaution dose respectively.
The country has administered more than 204.6 crore vaccine doses so far under nationwide vaccination drive which includes 93.33 crore second dose and 9.28 crore precaution dose. Besides, 26,77,405 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, more than 17,897 patients recovered from covid. Since the onset of covid more than 4,33,83,787 people have recovered from covid.
The country has conducted over 87.58 crore covid tests till date whereas 2,73,888 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
