Saudi Arabia, India, U.S. and EU launch economic corridor to increase trade

India and Saudi Arabia have joined the European Union and the United States in launching the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII) and India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

The launch of the twin initiatives came hours after Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman arrived here to participate in the G-20 summit which will be followed by his state visit to India on Monday.

“We look forward to the integration of the initiative and the Economic Corridor Project which is announced in this meeting. I would like to thank those who worked with us to reach this founding step to establish this important economic corridor,” said Crown Prince Bin Salman in his brief remark at the event which was also addressed by President of EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, U.S. President Joe Biden, President Macron of France and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
