NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday reported 2,568 new Covid cases and 97 deaths. With this rise, the death toll in the country has reached 5,15,974.
The total active Covid cases have further declined to 33,917, which comes to 0.08 per cent of the total cases. With 4,722 recoveries in the last 24 hours, India's recovery rate was further boosted and reached 98.72 per cent. So far, 4,24,46,171 people have recovered from the disease.
The daily positivity rate further fell to 0.37 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.46 per cent.
A total of 77.97 crore Covid tests have been conducted, of which 7,01,773 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
India administered a total of 180.40 crore vaccine doses under the nationwide vaccination drive.
