NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday reported 14,830 new Covid cases and 36 deaths. With this rise, the total death toll due to Covid has reached 5,26,110.
The active Covid caseload has declined to 1,47,512. This comes to 0.34 per cent of total cases. With 18,159 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the recovery rate has reached 98.47 per cent. The total number of patients who have recovered from the disease so far is 4,32,46,829.
The daily positivity rate stands at 3.48 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 4.53 per cent.
India has so far administered 202.5 crore Covid vaccines under the nationwide vaccination drive. Of this, 93.04 crore are second dose of the vaccine, while 7.57 crore are precaution doses.
The country has conducted 87.31 crore Covid tests so far.
