India make history with T20 World Cup victory

  • After losing the toss, India posted an imposing total of 255-5, with opener Sanju Samson scoring a brilliant 89 runs from 46 balls.
  • New Zealand's chase faltered early and they were eventually bowled out for 159 in 19 overs.
  • This victory marks India's third T20 World Cup triumph, adding to their previous wins in 2007 and 2024.
