Paris: India on Thursday welcomed the US-Iran peace deal, affirming that New Delhi remains in close touch with partner nations in West Asia and is prepared to contribute in addressing the "next steps" to ensure peace and stability in the region.
At a media briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said India always advocated the path of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict and it expects that the US-Iran understanding will lead to sustained peace.
