IND vs AUS: Virat Kohli's unmissable reaction after KL Rahul survives a no-ball call in Adelaide – WATCH

NEW DELHI: India batter KL Rahul narrowly escaped dismissal on the first ball of Scott Boland’s spell during the second Test in Adelaide, thanks to a no-ball call. Boland overstepped, nullifying the on-field umpire's decision, and giving Rahul a lifeline.

As the Australians celebrated and a dejected Rahul began walking off, India’s batting stalwart Virat Kohli was ready to step onto the field.

However, replays confirmed Boland’s overstep, and KL Rahul was recalled before crossing the boundary ropes. The Snickometer also showed no edge off the bat.

Kohli, who had approached the boundary, paused as the fourth official intervened, signaling the error.

Smiling, Kohli returned to the dressing room.

WATCH:

Rahul made the most of his reprieve, scoring 37 runs before falling to Mitchell Starc, who dismissed him for the third time in as many innings this series.

Starc has claimed Rahul’s wicket thrice in just 61 deliveries, conceding only 37 runs, in the series.
