NEW DELHI: Several Indian players are on the verge of achieving significant milestones in the ongoing Test series against Australia, highlighting their individual brilliance and collective impact in the longest format of the game.

Rishabh Pant is just 220 runs away from reaching the coveted 3,000-run mark in Test cricket, underscoring his rapid rise in the format. Adding to his achievements, Pant is poised to overtake Rohit Sharma in 717 Test runs against Australia, needing only six more runs.

The wicket-keeper batter has already surpassed Sourav Ganguly (696) in runs scored on Australian soil and is on the verge of eclipsing Sunil Gavaskar's run tally at the Gabba, cementing his reputation as a key performer in challenging conditions.
