Incredible pictures show base jumpers at Cheddar Gorge and 'an aggressive goat'

There is an old song that says "a policeman's lot is not a happy one".

Well, for one bobby on the beat today at least there was a bit of excitement.

The action, which was captured on camera, occurred at Cheddar Gorge early today. (January 23)

Avon and Somerset Constabulary in Sedgemoor was inspired to tweet about it.

They posted: "PCSO Hemmett was patrolling Cheddar Gorge early this morning and came across a couple of unexpected surprises.

"One aggressive goat and six base jumpers randomly jumping off the cliffs.

"Thankfully all returned home safely."

It is not known if the goat was really angry or just looking a bit sheepish.

Our best bet is that, like the police officer, it was probably taken aback by people falling from the sky.

Looks like a case of all's well that ends well.
