A dog who had to be rescued in a joint operation from Avon Fire and Rescue Service and Avon and Somerset Police is reported to be "at home and resting up" after a vet reported a broken leg and cuts and bruises.
A police drone captured the event after fire crews confirmed they were called out to the quarry near Wickwar Road between Peg Hill and Chipping Sodbury in Gloucestershire at 4.31pm on Friday (April 14), closing off the road for a period of time as a result.
The police drone was used to make sure they could pinpoint the location of Neilli, who - according to the initial vet report - had suffered from a broken leg, but Avon Fire and Rescue Service could not confirm this from their reports.

Footage from the drone shows nine-month old Neilli wagging her tail fervently as a member of Temple Fire Station, trained in animal rescue, comforts her and guides her towards a carrier. She was then taken to her owners straight away after being successfully rescued.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "You may have seen that part of the Wickwar Road between Peg Hill and Chipping Sodbury Quarry was closed on Friday.
"We are glad to report that despite a few cuts and bruises, both Neilli and her owners are at home and resting up."
Neilli had fallen into the quarry whilst she had been taken out for her evening walk by her owners.
