Amazing cockpit footage has shown the Red Arrows as they flew over Swansea for the first day of the Wales Airshow on Saturday. The video, posted on social media by the Red Arrows, shows the red, white and blue display cruising over Swansea beach and out to sea for the first time since 2019.
“This was how the Red Arrows arrived over Swansea for the first day of the Wales Airshow this afternoon. Who’s back at the event tomorrow for more of this?” the Red Arrows tweeted.
While it wasn’t the sunniest of days in Swansea it didn’t stop thousands turning up to watch the arrows from the beach, as well as Team Raven, the Norwegian MiG and many more displays. People sat all the way along the city’s promenade from Maritime Quarter right to the Mumbles to take in the aerobatics. You can follow our live blog from day two of the festivities here.
