A Nottingham neighbourhood will see an increased police presence after being targeted by a group of car thieves. Extra officers have been called into Clifton in response to a group attempting to gain entry to vehicles in Hawksley Gardens, Bainton Grove, Sturgeon Avenue, Green Lane, Meden Vale and Leafield Green over the past two weeks.
There have been 11 reports in total, with police stating most of the group's attempts have been unsuccessful. However, they have stolen a motorbike and quad bike.
Most of these incidents have happened in the early hours of the morning when people are asleep. It is believed the group have their faces covered to avoid being identified.
