Ina Garten uses this juicer for smooth and pulp-free juice every time – the Barefoot Contessa's go-to is currently under $50

Ina Garten.

Few figures have shaped American culinary habits quite like Ina Garten (AKA The Barefoot Contessa), who has spent years refining our skills from her East Hampton kitchen. Naturally, therefore, appliance recommendations from Garten are like gold dust, and the best ones can be found for under $50.

The appliance in question is one of the best juicers on the market – the Tribest Citristar Citrus Electric Juicer (available via Amazon) – and is almost identical to the model Garten has on her countertops. Yes, sadly, the exact juicer was discontinued, but this is the one she has since shared on the equipment page of her blog. Her assistant Barbara’s daughter, Cassandra Schultz (who manages an online platform called Cassandra’s Kitchen discovered it after testing a few different models. 'This All-Citrus Juicer is an excellent match for the discontinued version that Ina Garten currently uses. It's as close as we could get,' she says.

A look over the specifications makes it clear why it's got Garten's seal of approval. It has a powerful 50-watt motor, extracting every drop of juice from your favorite citrus fruits. It's described as the perfect appliance for all your juicing needs – and right now, it's less than $47.

In a description for Cassandra's Kitchen, Schultz recommends using this juicer for lemons, limes, and oranges before setting your breakfast table with fresh juice in beautiful glassware.

Of course, we could stop at her juicer, but when Garten has revealed so many of her go-to essentials, it would be rude not to share more. Next up? Her Wüsthof Classic knives.

'People ask me all the time what kind of knives they should get,' Ina Garten announces – and we're not surprised why she's their first port of call. As per her Instagram, Garten opts for the German-designed knives, which she says are an investment. However, with the right care, they could last a lifetime. They're currently reduced by 14% (also on Amazon).

Keeping our knives sharp is the first step to their prolonged lifespan. Garten uses this Chef’sChoice sharpener (as she demonstrates on the reel above).
