The teenager responsible for the deadly Apalachee High School shooting has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, bringing the criminal case to a close nearly two years after one of Georgia's deadliest school shootings.
Colt Gray pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the September 2024 attack, in which four people were killed, and several others were injured at the Barrow County school. During sentencing, survivors and victims' families addressed the court, describing the lasting impact of the shooting before Gray received multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole.
