RJD MLA and Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap Yadav has said that he has filed a Rs 50 crore defamation suit against nine persons, including YouTubers and journalists associated with various outfits such as ANI, ABP, Republic Bharat and Aaj Tak.
The lawsuit, reportedly filed through Supreme Court advocate Naval Kishore, names Ved Prakash of the Activist, Prashant Rai of Janta Junction, Alok of Live City, Sujit Kumar of Aaj Tak, ANI’s Mukesh, Ganesh of First Bihar, Prakash Kumar of Republic Bharat, Prakash Kumar of ABP News and Kanhaiya Bellari of News Haat.
The RJD leader has alleged that various media platforms have launched personal attacks on him and his family in order to defame him. This comes amid speculation that he is going to launch his own political outfit.
This comes two days after Tej Pratap shared a video on social media, saying that Ved Prakash, who was trying to do a sting operation on him to defame him, ran away as he was exposed. He alleged that attempts were being made to show him in bad light and these were planned at the residence of former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi. In the video, Tej Pratap chases the journalist’s car which stops outside Manjhi’s residence, with the RJD leader alleging that this proves the former CM’s role.
