Originally conceived as a bedroom-bound studio project by Steven Wilson, by 2005 Porcupine Tree had become a well-established band. The same year, they released Deadwing – later selected as one of the 10 essential progressive rock albums of the decade by this magazine – and we spoke to Wilson and bandmate Richard Barbieri about their journey to date.
