IN PICTURES: Protesters target King Charles ceremony in Edinburgh

ANTI-MONARCHY activists have taken to the streets of Edinburgh to protest King Charles's so-called "mini coronation".

The monarch is being presented with the Honours of Scotland – the country’s crown jewels – in a ceremony at St Giles' Cathedral.

But not everyone was fawning over the ceremony...

Hundreds sporting '"Not My King" T-shirts made their voices known, many of whom representing anti-monarchy group Republic.

Republic CEO Graham Smith was also pictured with a megaphone, leading in chants of "Not My King".

As were signs, ranging from "only the tourists are cheering" to "#abolishthemonarchy".
