ORGANISERS have said that around 25,000 people attended the independence rally in Edinburgh on Saturday.
Campaigners from across the Yes movement gathered together to march down the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
Speakers at the event included Lesley Riddoch, Humza Yousaf and the Minister for Independence Jamie Hepburn.
The First Minister said that Scotland was suffering from a "cost of the Union" crisis and that independence is needed now "more than ever".
Scottish Greens co-leaders Lorna Slater and Patrick Harvie were also among those in attendance at the event.
In his speech, Yousaf told the crowd not to think of people who are currently opposed to or unsure about independence as "No voters" but instead as people "still to be convinced".
"Friends, we stand here in front of our nation's parliament, we stand here to rededicate ourselves to the cause of independence", he said.
"And by God, the people of our country need it now, more than they've ever needed it before.
"We believe in independence, because this unequal Union has caused so much suffering and so much harm.
"Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, the people of this country are not suffering from a cost of living crisis, they're suffering from a cost of the Union crisis."
