Manchester United supporters continue to tease Manchester City on social media despite watching their "noisy neighbours" win the Champions League against Inter Milan.
After getting their hands on the Premier League and FA Cup this season, Pep Guardiola and his star-studded City squad had a golden opportunity to emulate their neighbours and win a historic treble on Saturday night and they ultimately delivered courtesy of a winner from Rodri.

Of course, it will always be the Red side who managed it first, though, as was the general theme among United fans on social media.
An under-par City were not at the races in the opening 45 minutes and they were dealt a cruel injury blow when Kevin De Bruyne had to be withdrawn. He was also forced off in the 2021 showpiece defeat to Chelsea and it was, understandably, a bad omen for Guardiola and his men at that stage.

Phil Foden was sent on in his place as Erling Haaland passed up a decent chance before the half-time whistle was sounded. Upon the restart, it continued to be a war of attrition rather than one for the pursuits as United fans had everything crossed Italian giants Inter would conjure up a winner.
However, when the decisive strike came, it was City who grabbed it; albeit from an unlikely source as Rodri swept home to make to 1-0 and put them on the brink. With only 20 minutes to hold on, City went close to a second goal when Foden was denied by Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Romelu Lukaku somehow passed up an opportunity to level the scores after being summoned from the bench and City were soon left celebrating. However, that meant United supporters had to face up to the music on Twitter and other social media platforms, but they hit back by flying the flag for Sir Alex Ferguson and his 1999 heroes.
