GANDHINAGAR: In dry Gujarat, there would be stiff competition to become a prohibition officer! In fact, the state has received a whopping 1.13 lakh applications for 39 vacancies of sub- inspectors to bolster the state government's enforcement of prohibition. The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) is conducting the recruitment process on behalf of the prohibition and excise department.
GSSSB, which invited applications for the 39 posts of sub-inspectors, has offered five-year, fixed pay job opportunities for candidates. The recruitment board, which will hold the examination on July 31 at various centres across the state, received 1.13 lakh applications.
