In 2012, Jason Mraz began farming 5 acres in California with organic practices. 14 years later, his family farm had grown thousands of trees while promoting regenerative agriculture

Jason Mraz's relationship with farming began long before his family farm became a business. He has lived on the California property since 2004, caring for avocado trees that have been growing in the region for decades. Since Mraz Family Farms was founded in 2015, the land has developed into an organic, regenerative farming operation. Today, the farm grows avocados, coffee beans and passion fruit while focusing on healthy soil and long-term sustainability, as per a report by TCD and Jason Mraz Family Farms website.

For Jason Mraz, farming has become much more than an extension of his life away from music. It has become a long-term relationship with the land he has called home since 2004.

Mraz Family Farms was founded in 2015, and two years later it received USDA and California Organic Certification. The farm then began practicing regenerative agriculture, with a focus on building healthy soil and creating a system designed to work with nature.

According to Green Matters, the San Diego-area farm now has a full-time staff and produces avocados, coffee beans and passion fruit. Its avocados have also been supplied to Chipotle.
