NEW DELHI: Team India head coach Rahul Dravid on Thursday said that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been rested for the first two ODIs against Australia as the team management wanted them to be mentally and physically fresh for the upcoming ODI World Cup.
India will take on Australia in a three-match ODI series, commencing with the first ODI in Mohali on Thursday. This series serves as India's last competitive engagement before the ICC World Cup, which is set to begin on October 5 and will be hosted in India.
