IMD issues orange alert for parts of Kerala, heavy rain likely over next three days

Thiruvananthapuram: Several parts of Kerala received rain on Sunday as the IMD forecast isolated heavy showers in the northern districts and issued orange and yellow alerts for various parts of the state over the next three days.

A yellow alert has been issued for Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts for Sunday, indicating the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
