PEOPLE across Scotland are facing severe travel disruption as a result of Storm Gerrit.
Network Rail has imposed speed restrictions across Scotland’s railway network while a number of roads are also closed.

A number of yellow weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office while the Scottish Environment Protection Agency has also issued a number of flood warnings.

Elsewhere, images showed snowploughs working to try and keep the A9 open at Slochd as Storm Gerrit also hit the north of Scotland.

Tonight’s Scottish Premiership match between Ross County and Rangers has already been called off as the Dingwall side were unable to travel.
First Minister Humza Yousaf encouraged everybody to follow travel advice and to stay safe in a post on Twitter/X.
