A space expert has suggested that onlookers might feel "emotional" while observing the finest solar eclipse in decades.
On Wednesday evening, gatherings formed at various vantage points across the country, including the Royal Observatory Greenwich in London, Calton Hill in Edinburgh, and outside Queen’s University in Belfast.
