After four straight wins, UAE are no more the unbeaten side in the ILT20 Gulf Cricket Championship. Saudi Arabia got the better of the hosts by 11 runs on a day with a single contest in the tournament which has seen double-headers on most days.
Despite the defeat, UAE remain top of the six-team competition, with eight points, with Saudi Arabia leapfrogging to second with six points, albeit having played a game more. Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman are all on four points and have the opportunity to bridge the gap on Saudi Arabia. Qatar, meanwhile, bottom of the points table, are out of contention for the final with four straight defeats.
