A much-loved handbag, wallet and luggage shop that has been on Wheeler Gate for 30 years has announced it will close in early June due to the owner struggling with ill health after the death of his wife last year.
The Bag Company is located on the busy street just off Market Square and owner Younos Vali is finally retiring after opening the shop in 1991. The store still carries a full range of leather bags imported from France and Italy. It also carries a collection of Kipling bags.
The stock has been placed on sale to help reduce stock before they close. There are discounts of between 30 to 50 percent across the store.
