Ilford stabbing: Boy, 17, fighting for life after being attacked on bus

A 17-year-old boy is fighting for life after being stabbed on a bus in east London.

Police were called at around 5.25pm on Saturday to Ilford High Road to reports of a male injured.

The victim was found to have a stab wound and was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

He remained in a life threatening condition in hospital on Sunday, police said.

A Met spokeperson said: “It is understood the victim was stabbed while on a route 145 bus. Shortly after the incident he left the bus at Lynton House, Ilford High Road and emergency services were called.”

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are carrying out a number of fast-time enquiries, including examination of CCTV and speaking with witnesses.

There has been no arrest at this time.
