Two teenagers have been charged with murder after a pair of rappers were killed in a double shooting in Ilford.
Saydi Abu Sheikh, 23, and Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, 32, were killed in a suspected gangland hit masked by Diwali fireworks shortly after midnight on Tuesday, October 25.
Police said both men died from gunshot wounds at a terrace house on Henley Road.
Ayaani Ali Adan, 19, and Ayman Abasheikh, 18, have been charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, possession of a firearm and knife and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Both men appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Monday and were remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, November 16.
A 30-year-old man remains in serious but stable condition in hospital following the shooting, police said.
Mr Abu Sheikh was known by his rap name ‘Giddy’, while fellow victim Mr Mohamed adopted the moniker ‘Shifty’.
The families of all three men continue to be supported by specialist officers.
The investigation is ongoing and police remain keen to hear from anyone with information, video or images that could assist them.
