Police have charged a boy, 16, after the stabbing of a woman in Ilford.
The teenager will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday afternoon charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
The woman, aged 27, was found suffering stab wounds to her back in St Johns Road on Friday, shortly after 8pm.
She was rushed to hospital, where her injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing, said police.
Police from the Met’s East Area CID are continuing to investigate.
