IKEA has recalled a popular children's item out of concern that kids might choke on it. Following complaints of tiny components breaking free, the shop is requesting that consumers stop using the BLAVINGAD fishing game.
The game includes wooden rods with magnets connected to the end that are intended to pick up wooden shapes as if the child was fishing.
A spokesperson for IKEA said: "IKEA asks all customers who own the BLAVINGAD fishing game, multicolour, to stop using it and return it to an IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
"IKEA has received reports of small metal rivets coming loose from the painted wooden shapes, presenting a potential choking hazard, especially for small children. No injuries have been reported." Anyone with the product can contact customer services on 0203 645 0010.
