Ikea has launched a handy new collection service in certain Tesco carparks across Ireland.
The trial service kicked off today at three initial sites in Tesco Mitchelstown in Co Cork, Tesco Drogheda in Co Louth and Tesco Naas in Co Kildare.
Six additional pilot sites are planned for later this year in Limerick, Galway, Cork, Waterford, Tipperary and Wexford.

When placing an order online, shoppers can go through the usual checkout option and select the collection service for their local Tesco.
Customers can choose their preferred date and time to pick up their order and then head to their local Tesco where they will meet a delivery driver who will hand it over to them.
The service is free for orders over €200 and it will cost €15 to collect orders under €200.
The scheme is set to run for an initial period of six months.
Martyn Allan, Market Manager in Ireland, commented: "Collaborating with Tesco to test-and-trial convenient, accessible, and affordable collection services across key locations in Ireland is a real source of pride for us. This partnership acknowledges the dynamic nature of the retail industry and provides an opportunity to bring Ikea closer to a wider audience."
Earlier this year, Ikea unveiled its first Customer Distribution Centre in west Dublin. The 450,000 square ft facility, set to open early next year, will create 120 jobs and enable Ikea to process online orders directly from Ireland, resulting in increased product availability and significantly reduced delivery times.
In addition to the new facility, Ikea recently opened its latest plan and order point in Cork's Douglas Village Shopping Centre, marking the fourth to open in Ireland within the past 12 months. The new facility joins the existing locations in Drogheda, Naas, and St Stephen's Green, with more planned to open by the end of the year.
