If Your Family Keeps Rewinding Christmas Movies Because the Sound Is Bad, This $200-Off Samsung System Fixes It

Colorful living room with orange velvet sofa, green patterned armchair, modular coffee table, and large, bright windows. Exposed brick walls and modern lighting are pictured around the furniture.

We all know the feeling: The family's setting down to watch the movie, and within five minutes someone's shouting that they can't hear the dialogue, the bass is too rattly, the sounds are too muffled, or some variation of 'the sound is bad.'

I know it, too, as a lifelong lover of all things sound and entertainment; some speakers just aren't cut out for it. So, when I tested the Samsung HW-QS750F, that's $200 off right now at Best Buy, I was blown away by every sound-related issue being instantly fixed.

It's a full-blown surround system, with a soundbar, subwoofer, and two rear speakers that fill the room with deep, clear, and gorgeous audio that goes well beyond what the best soundbars can do.

The Samsung HW-QS750F Produces Audio That Actually Sounds Good

While a single soundbar brings a significant upgrade to your living room setup, nothing compares to a fully-equipped system. The subwoofer handles the bass that rumbles beneath the feet, the rear speakers create surround sound that feels like you're in the middle of the scene, and the soundbar delivers dialogue and impact with clarity.

That's precisely what I found when testing the Samsung HW-QS750F. Avengers: Infinity War sounded absolutely incredible, with sounds roaring past my head during action scenes, and dialogue sounding crystal clear even with crowds and explosions in the background.

And Princess Mononoke, my personal favorite Studio Ghibli fantasy movie, I could hear the tonal rasps of each voice, with dramatic, exhilarating music that never once overshadowed the scene.

That's the beauty of this setup – it has it all. Because of the four components (comprising ten inner speakers in total), you're covered for tonal clarity, deep bass, multi-directional surround sound, and importantly, layers.

Sound never became muddied or confused. This can happen with single soundbars, like the Yamaha True X Bar 40A, for example, where, during busy scenes, each element has lost a bit of realism.

And if you're a music lover, this is a stellar setup to add to your music room. Everything from Erykah Badu's Didn't Cha Know to Cocteau Twins' Pitch the Baby sounded gorgeous, owed to the Samsung HW-QS750F's powerful bass and lush trebles, working harmoniously alongside each other to deliver dreamy music.

While it may seem a bit fiddly setting up a four-part sound system, it actually couldn't be simpler. The subwoofer wirelessly connects, so once the soundbar and subwoofer are plugged into power, they connect to each other instantly. And with the rear speakers, a long, thin cable connects them both, and once one speaker's plugged into power, it instantly connects.

There's no faff making sure every speaker is wired to each other, so even those who aren't at all tech-savvy will be able to do this in under ten minutes. Then, you can enjoy booming, detailed sound for every movie and TV show to come.

The Samsung HW-QS750F is discounted to $699.99 at Best Buy.
