If You're Planning to Visit Disney Soon, Travel Just Got a Lot Easier

After what feels like years of waiting, the Brightline is finally coming to Orlando.

Well, almost. But at least you can now buy tickets for a smooth ride between Orlando and West Palm.

The private inter-city rail Brightline opened in 2018, starting with a train that got you between Miami and West Palm Beach in about an hour, with a stop at Ft. Lauderdale along the way. The company later added stops at Boca Raton and Aventura.

But ever since Brightline opened, Floridians and people who visit the state often have been hoping that an Orlando stop would be added. Florida is a big place, and while Orlando has all the theme parks such as Disney World (DIS) and Universal Studios Florida (CCZ), Miami and Fort Lauderdale have the beaches, and in the case of Miami, some of the most thriving nightlife you can find in the country,

While it's certainly possible to do all of that in one trip, it would require a lot of driving, and Florida highways are famous for their congestion. But now, you can get from Miami Beach to Disney World in about three hours, all without having to worry about the hassle of driving. You can even order a smoothie or a glass of wine for the trip.

Tickets are now available online or through the app. One-way Smart fares, which are sort of like economy class, are available for $79 for adults and $39 for children. Groups of four or more passengers automatically save 25% on Smart fares.

But if you want to splash out a little, one-way Premium fares start at $149 and access to the Premium lounge at Brightline stations, priority boarding, checked luggage, as well as complimentary snacks and beverages (including the above-mentioned train wine).

Passengers have the option to book Ubers and rental cars when purchasing their tickets, and premium ticket holders receive complimentary Uber rides to any location within a five mile radius in South Florida.
