Sadio Mane has warned Bayern Munich will beat Liverpool if they're to meet in the Champions League this season.
The two sides last met in the competition back in the 2018/19 season in the round of 16. After a goalless draw at Anfield, the Reds got the job done in Munich and Mane scored twice on the night to help his side reach the quarter-finals.
The former Liverpool winger has previously described his first goal against the Bundesliga giants as his favourite ever goal, but has since back-tracked on that statement given he now plays for the club. Mane joined Bayern this summer after six years on Merseyside and warned his new club would seek revenge if they're to meet again in the competition.

He told the official Bundesliga newsletter: “I said maybe my favourite but now I would say second favourite goal, not my first, because he’s my teammate. No, I’m joking… Of course, I think it was a good goal, kind of a good goal.
"We had a good game. This is behind us. If we’re going to meet again, of course as Bayern Munich we’d beat Liverpool.”
Bayern last won the Champions League in the 2019/20 season in a behind-closed doors victory over Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. Following their victory in 2019, Liverpool had a disappointing couple of seasons in Europe but made the final last term for the first time in three years.
Real Madrid are current champions of the competition, but both Bayern and Liverpool will be among those battling for the prize this season.
