IDF Chief: Israel Prepared For Conflict With Hezbollah And Hamas

Israeli soldiers prepare to enter the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, at Israel's border with Gaza in southern Israel

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have stated that Israel is not seeking war but is prepared for any potential conflict. This announcement comes in response to recent actions by Hezbollah, which the IDF has labeled as a terrorist organization.

According to IDF chief spokesperson Admiral Daniel Hagari, Hezbollah initiated hostilities against Israel on October 8, aligning itself with Hamas in the process. The IDF has responded with resolve and is actively engaged in combat operations.

One significant event in this ongoing conflict was an IDF strike on Beirut, which reportedly resulted in the death of Hezbollah commander Fu’ad Shukr. The IDF maintains that this action was necessary in the context of defending Israel against terrorist threats.

Admiral Hagari emphasized the IDF's commitment to protecting Israel and its citizens from external threats. While the IDF is not seeking a full-scale war, it remains vigilant and well-prepared to respond to any aggression directed towards the country.

The situation between Israel and Hezbollah continues to evolve, with both sides engaged in a tense standoff. The IDF's actions are guided by a commitment to safeguarding Israel's security and deterring terrorist organizations from targeting the country.
