Iconic guitar used by Slash of Guns N’ Roses heads to auction

  • An iconic Gibson Les Paul guitar used by Slash during Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime tour is expected to fetch up to £300,000 at a London auction.
  • The photo-matched, stage-used, and autographed ‘59 Custom Shop instrument will be offered at Propstore auction house on April 30.
  • Other notable items include a jacket worn by George Michael in his “Faith” music video, estimated to sell for up to £120,000.
  • A gold microphone used by Freddie Mercury and a promotional poster signed by John Lennon hours before his death are also among the lots, with estimates up to £60,000 and £120,000 respectively.
  • The auction features over 400 lots, including items from Sir Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse and Ed Sheeran, with a combined pre-sale estimate of £1.5 million.
