Sasquatch Sunset, the film premiering at Sundance, features Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg as Bigfoot-like creatures. Icon Film Distribution will release the film in the U.K. and Ireland in the second quarter after its premiere at a major U.K. festival. Directed and produced by David and Nathan Zellner, the movie was acquired by Icon Film Distribution from Protagonist Pictures. The film follows a family of Sasquatches on an epic journey in North America.
The deal for the U.K. and Ireland distribution rights was negotiated between Kaleidoscope CEO Spencer Pollard and Janina Vilsmaier, SVP of Sales at Protagonist Pictures. Bleecker Street will release the film in North America on April 12. Spencer Pollard praised the film's originality and captivation, expressing excitement to share it with U.K. and Irish audiences.
'Sasquatch Sunset' adds to Icon Film Distribution's current slate, which includes 'The Promised Land' with Mads Mikkelsen, 'Baltimore' featuring Imogen Poots, and 'Bleeding Love,' a family drama starring Ewan and Clara McGregor.
