Popular frozen food retailer Iceland Foods is shutting more of its shops across the UK. The business operates both Iceland shops and The Food Warehouse.
A full list of locations has been announced, according to Birmingham Live, with the business closing four more stores this month.
The British food retailer has stores throughout the UK as well as 40 owned or franchised stores across Europe and is a global export business, according to its own website. However, the supermarket chain closed a store in Rhyl this week, due to a "continuous decline in business at the store". Other sites closing are in Bromsgrove, in Worcestershire, as well as Chineham in Basingstoke.

A supermarket branch will also shutter in the Isle of Wight. Before the end of March. The following Iceland sites will close: White Rose Centre, in Rhyl closed on March 14, South Street in Newport in Isle of Wight will close its doors for good on March 25, and St Catherine’s Place, in Bedminster, in Bristol - on March 25. The Deiniol Centre branch in Bangor, Wales, will also shut on March 27.
An Iceland spokesperson said: "Across Iceland and The Food Warehouse we have a portfolio of over UK 1,000 stores, and our retail estate has grown by nearly 200 stores over the last 10 years. We typically open more than 20 new stores each year, creating many new jobs and contributing to the growth of local economies.
"At the same time, we continually review the retail experience offered to our customers and have always made a small number of store closures every year, as local shopping patterns change and shop leases expire. The business is currently trading very strongly, achieving record market shares."
The company also operates a chain of shops called The Food Warehouse. In 2019, Iceland Foods opened 45 new stores in the UK (including 31 larger stores under The Food Warehouse fascia) but had also closed eight, increasing the number of UK stores to 942. The company has a strategic alliance with The Range, where Iceland's food offer has been introduced to nine of the home and garden retailer's stores.
