Iceland shoppers wowed by 'unreal' new savoury snack

Iceland shoppers are eager to get a hold of an "unreal" new savoury snack after spotting it online.

The popular supermarket chain boasts over 950 stores across the UK, as well as an award-winning online shopping service.

The retailer is known and renowned for its extensive range of frozen food, as well as its regular releases of new products, Liverpool Echo reports.

Like other stores, Iceland's items are frequently shared on social media and, recently, one of its new products caused a stir on the platform Instagram.

Hit food account @newfoodsuk has gained a loyal following of over 274k, as a result of its regular updates on all of the latest food releases spotted in stores up and down the UK.

The food focused page delighted Iceland shoppers after sharing a photo of the retailer's new Salt & Pepper Crunchies.

The savoury snack, which is currently sold out online, features hash brown tater tots created with shredded potato, blended with green peppers, red peppers and onions. It also includes a salt and pepper seasoning sachet.

Captioning an image of the coveted product, @newfoodsuk penned: "New Salt & Pepper Crunchies at Iceland! We just noticed these online at Iceland, but not in stock as of yet, guessing they will be out soon!"

The tots proved popular on the hit social media platform, with the image racking up more than 1,400 likes in just a matter of hours.

Shoppers shared their thoughts in the comments section.
