Iceland shoppers divided by 'weird' new ice cream that looks 'pickle flavoured'

Iceland shoppers have been divided by a new ‘crazy’ ice cream flavour after spotting it online.

The popular supermarket has more than 950 stores across the country, as well as an award-winning online shop. Known for its vast range of frozen food and regular releases of new products, fans were unsure about the new product.

Like many retailers, Iceland’s new products are often shared on social media. Recently, one of its new foods caused a stir on the @newfoodsuk Instagram.

The new £1.50 ‘Crazy Sours Skittles Ice Cream’ is currently out of stock on the Iceland website. Fans have been quick to share their mixed opinions on the new flavour.

Described as a ‘100ml ice cream’ that consists of Skittles fruity flavour ice cream with ‘sugared pearls’ and an ‘apple coating’, the sweet treat is said to make your ‘tongue tingle’. Some Iceland shoppers weren’t convinced of the new release.

The post read: “New!! Crazy Sours @skittles Ice Cream sticks now at @icelandfoods £1.50, these are very sour! So if you like sour stuff you will love these”. It received over 30k likes and 500 comments from foodie fans.

One shopper said: “Finally got round to trying these, they’re weird but tasty.” A second added: “It doesn’t look appetising.”

A third shopper said: “Now this looks crazy.” A fourth added: “It looks...pickle flavoured? [laugh emoji]”.

Some shoppers were keen to try the product, not letting the green colour put them off. One shopper said: “They’re banging!”

A second commented: “Where can I find these!?” The ice cream is currently out of stock, but keep your eye out online here for a restock, or visit your local Iceland.
