A mum said she had "tears in her eyes" after a stranger's kind gesture days before Christmas.
The mum who was shopping at Iceland at the Concourse Shopping Centre in Skelmersdale said in a Facebook post that she had three young children "in tow" when her son hit his head on a shopping basket and started "screaming".
She was then confronted by a woman who told her son "he was not going to get any presents" if he kept on crying. Upset the mum then started to unload her shopping when a kind stranger stepped in and let the mum take her place in the queue even though her shopping was "already loaded".

"We live in such an amazingly generous town and after two hours of tough last-minute shopping with the kids she made my day. I can’t thank you enough and feel free to message me and connect if you see this, the world needs more kindness."
Since the post up went up commenters have said it has restored their "faith in humanity". One person said: "Someone did exactly the same for me only a matter of days ago. My phone battery went flat and I'd not got my purse. I put the money into a charity box to pay it forward".
One person commented: "What a lovely thing to do it’s simple acts of kindness like this that restores my faith in humanity. Merry Christmas to you all." Another said: "There are so many amazing people in Skelmersdale. It gets bad press but this makes my heart full. Merry Christmas."
