Amid the cost of living crisis, and soaring food prices, many of us are shopping for groceries differently.
Budget retailers such as Aldi have seen an increase in customers, but there is also a lesser-known offering that is owned by Iceland. The Food Warehouse offers shoppers the chance to make savings by buying in bulk, with a huge range of frozen foods on offer.
When it comes to Merseyside, Food Warehouse stores come fewer and further between than other supermarkets, so your nearest one could be a bit of a trek away.

That said, if you'd be considerably better off financially for doing your shopping there, it could be worth the journey. So what can customers expect?
Our reporter Emily Sleight did her big shop at the Food Warehouse and found mixed results. She found minimal price differences on items such as bread and eggs, as well as fresh meats and chilled snacks.
However, the frozen section was where it came into its own. Emily said: "I ended up purchasing the frozen potato Space Raiders for £1 and some Cornetto Mint Chocolate Chip ice creams, which were generally pretty good value. A quick look at the frozen chips section and their cheapest was £1, with a range of frozen meals including pizza, ready meals, fish, chicken and much more on offer.
"It’s clear to see that the frozen section is where The Food Warehouse really makes their money, and rightly so, because it’s a great option for longer lasting ingredients for meals."
Emily said customers who use the store for frozen goods could make a saving, but may be best buying other items elsewhere.
