Ecuador has officially complained to the US after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent attempted to enter its consulate in Minneapolis on Tuesday, only to be turned back by an employee.
The country’s foreign ministry sent an official complaint to the US embassy in its capital, Quito, about the incident on Tuesday, which came amid the aggressive campaign of arresting people in Minnesota’s largest city that continues despite nationwide outrage over the killings of two US citizens by federal agents.
