Ice Hockey at Winter Olympics 2026 Free Streams: TV Channels, Schedule, Preview & Today's Games

Canada captain Sidney Crosby in ice hockey action at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

USA's 2-1 OT victory over Canada in the women's final has cranked up the pressure on the spluttering men's side. Jon Cooper's men were dominated by Czechia on Wednesday, and had to be bailed out over and over again by goaltender Jordan Binnington.

A late Nick Suzuki flick forced overtime, where Czechia again were the more positive, fluid outfit, only for a magnificent solo effort from Mitch Marner to win it. The Canadians face reigning champions Finland (10.40am ET) in the first of today's semi-finals, and they may be without captain Sidney Crosby.

Mike Sullivan's men also just managed to evade an early exit, after Sweden took them to overtime. Quinn Hughes popped up with the winner to set up a showdown with Slovakia, who hammered Germany 6-2 in the only quarter-final to be settled in regulation time.

In fact, five straight games have now been even at the final buzzer. If NHL's superstars thought they'd be able to turn up and walk it, they're learning a harsh lesson.
